Electrical installation work on new-build properties involve two distinct stages, namely first-fix and second-fix. This entails careful planning on behalf of the electrical contractor, together with close cooperation with other trades to ensure that the project runs smoothly without compromising completion dates. First Fix

Accessory boxes are fixed to the wall and cables are installed around the building ready for plastering. It is important to ensure that cables are selected and installed to comply with current industry standards.

We can provide a free estimate to replace your existing fuseboard with a modern Consumer Unit. These Consumer Units contain a Main Isolator, together with Circuit Breakers (CBs) & Residual Current Devices (RCDs), which together provide a far greater level of protection than re-wirable fuses.

We also check (and if nesesary upgrade) your earthing and bonding arrangements.

Electrical Fault Finding

Our local electricians are eager to sort out electrical faults in your home. We can deal with faulty connections or electrical fittings. A non operational circuit can be due to several reasons but is usually caused by a loose connection or mechanical trauma, such as a trapped or damaged cable. Electrical rewiring involves the replacement of old, dangerous or non-compliant electrical equipment, eg; cables, fittings, distribution boards, etc. This work can vary from a full rewire replacing all cables, fittings, distribution equipment, etc with the cables chased into the walls & completely hidden to a surface rewire where the cables are hidden in mini trunking fitted onto the surface of the walls.

The 17th Edition wiring regulation first amendment, has renamed the previously known Periodic Inspection and Test Report to now be known as an Electrical Installation Condition Report. It provides a template/model form that is used as a basis for the Assure Electrical Limited report. This leads to a thorough and detailed evaluation and report of the condition of your electrical installation.

At Assure Electrical Limited however we are not content to just issue a report. We would strongly recommend that one of our electricians talks through the findings with you and explains in "plain english!" the implications of these findings and discusses the options on how to proceed with this new knowledge.

Each year, defective wiring or appliances cause over 12,500 fires in homes, resulting in 25 deaths and over 590 injuries. There are also over 500 injuries and 5 deaths caused by faulty electrical installations.
